HubSpot’s new credits pricing charges 15 credits per marketing email. Professional’s monthly allowance covers fewer than 700.
Partners say new EMEA customers have bought on seats and credits since October 1, while existing accounts keep their old pricing. On October 15, HubSpot added default spend caps and mid-contract seat-to-credit swaps.
News report. Claims are attributed to the sources listed at the end of this post.
On HubSpot’s seats-and-credits pricing, each of the first 10,000 marketing emails costs 15 credits, according to HubSpot’s pricing supplement. Professional includes 10,000 credits a month. If nothing else drew on them, that would cover 666 sends.
Extra credits cost €0.010 each on pay-as-you-go, billed in blocks of 10, and unused credits don’t roll over, the supplement says. At that rate, each of those first 10,000 sends works out to €0.15.
HubSpot partners PlanMyHub and Hublead both report that the model applies to new customers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa from October 1, 2026. They also say existing accounts keep their current pricing, with no migration date announced. HubSpot’s supplement lists prices in euros but doesn’t give a start date or a country list.
What changed
Partners describe the model as one edition for the whole account instead of buying hub by hub. The supplement defines two seats. A GTM seat “grants full access to the platform,” including marketing, sales, and service tools. An Ops seat covers “select automation, reporting, and governance functionality” for people who support customer-facing teams. Starter allows at most 10 paid seats.
Starter includes 5,000 credits a month, Professional 10,000, and Enterprise 15,000. Metered activity draws on them, including:
- Marketing email: 15 credits per send for the first 10,000, then 5, 2, and 0.5 as volume rises.
- Workflow actions: 3 credits each for the first 10,000, then 2, 0.5, and 0.1.
- Customer Agent: 50 credits per conversation.
Hublead reports that on per-hub pricing, which US customers still buy, marketing email and standard workflow actions don’t draw credits.
What 5,000 and 10,000 sends cost
Take a Professional account that sends 5,000 marketing emails and runs 5,000 workflow actions in a month. The emails use 75,000 credits and the workflows 15,000, for 90,000 in total. After the 10,000 included, the other 80,000 cost €800 at the pay-as-you-go rate, on top of seats.
At 10,000 sends, email alone uses 150,000 credits, or €1,400 in pay-as-you-go credits after the allowance.
HubSpot’s October 15 announcement says it also sells credit packs at flat monthly rates, but doesn’t list prices. Hublead lists separate send packs for Professional and Enterprise starting at €200 a month for 2,000 sends. The same 2,000 sends would cost €300 at the pay-as-you-go rate, so a pack can come in under these numbers.
The new spend controls
The October 15 announcement made spend caps the default. HubSpot’s knowledge base, updated September 16, says the account-level limit is set automatically at 50% above total monthly credits, which on Professional is 15,000. Customers can also set limits by feature and by action.
The announcement also adds seat-to-credit swaps, which let customers move budget from seats to credits before renewal. “Nobody should have to miss out on getting the most out of AI because they don’t know what the bill will be,” said Jon Dick, HubSpot’s chief customer officer.
When credits run out and no extra credits have been bought, the knowledge base says, usage-based features pause until the next reset. Accounts that bought extra credits on or after September 16 default to pay-as-you-go overages instead.
Why it matters if you run marketing ops or RevOps
On this model, every extra send adds to the monthly bill. The emails alone in the 5,000-send month above use five times Professional’s default cap, so that account hits the cap unless someone raises it.
If you’re buying HubSpot for an EMEA entity, model credits from last quarter’s actual send and workflow counts before you sign, and ask which cap and overage settings the account will start with. If you’re an existing customer, partners say nothing changes yet, but check which model your renewal quote uses.
What we don’t know yet
- Which countries are covered. HubSpot hasn’t published a list, and PlanMyHub calls UK inclusion unconfirmed.
- When, or whether, existing and US customers move. Both partners report no migration date.
- Whether a marketing send that would cross the spend cap is held or billed. The knowledge base says usage-based features pause but doesn’t mention email by name.
- What HubSpot’s credit packs cost.
